Customer Reviews WOW! What power! Date: 2009-06-19 | Rating: 5 This is a GREAT blender! Makes my old Osterizer look really bad. Makes smoothies in seconds. It's really powerful. I like the polycarbonate jar, and I didn't think I would. It cleans up easily and I like that the blade assembly stays in place - you just run the jar under the faucet to clean it. Nice design, smooth, easy to clean exterior. Sturdy and not as noisy as I imagined it would be. The base is kind of heavy, but who carries the base around? I don't know why this color (caviar) was on sale - it's really a beautiful black with microscopic little sparkles, like a metallic finish on a car's paint job. It was an extremely good price, and I got a $[...] rebate from Kitchenaid on top of that. Great blender Date: 2009-08-03 | Rating: 5 Just bought this blender based on the review in Cooks Illustrated. So far I'm very happy with it. Smoothies and margaritas are great to make in this blender, it crushes ice and frozen fruit effortlessly. Highly recommend it! Perfect Blender Date: 2010-01-03 | Rating: 5 This blender delivers on its promises. It's an ideal smoothie machine for a great sale price. Unboxing it, I noted the weight of the base. It's a hulk and has serious horsepower. For the first use, I used it to crush ice. Yowee! The cat jumped 3 feet straight up and disappeared all afternoon. It sounds a bit like a gun shot going off in the kitchen at first, but quickly shreds the ice into little grains. Other than that first ice crush cycle, it runs very quietly. Any spills are easy to clean - no gaps for crud to get in. KitchenAid KSB560 Blender Date: 2010-01-09 | Rating: 5 I've only used it a couple of times so far, but it is the best blender I have ever owned. I do not use a blender on a daily basis, yet I wanted a step up from the low cost blenders on the market (More Power!!!). This one fits the bill. The only thing it needs to do now is stand the test of time. |
